Laura Dempsie – Mental Health Practitioner
As the Mental Health Practitioner in the practice, I offer mental health assessment for patients presenting to the GP practice with mental health concerns or difficulties.
I may have an initial telephone triage call to briefly assess your needs and offer support or guidance in this way. If felt required, I can also offer a 30-minute face to face appointment to allow more time to discuss your concerns and will often have the ability to offer on the day, or next day appointments, offering quick and prompt assessment and support. I can also redirect you to existing support services that you may already be open to.
I am an experienced mental health nurse and have good links with community services, online resources and strong links with mental health teams to offer you the best and most suitable advice, support and signposting to meet your needs and support your mental health and wellbeing.
